Think First Teen Driving Program

April 2 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Did you know that teens aged 15-19 have the highest crash risk of any age group on the road? Teens are three times more likely to be involved in a fatal crash and the risk is highest during the first 30-90 days of independent driving.

First Impact is a free 90-minute program that introduces parents and their teens to the risks that their new teen drivers face. Parents learn how to monitor, coach, and support their teen drivers, ultimately reducing the risk of fatalities and injuries by 20 to 40 percent.

The Joplin Health Department is hosting a First Impact teen driving program on April 2 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Joplin Public Safety Training Facility, 5102 Swede Lane, Webb City, MO. This free class is designed for new or soon-to-be drivers and their parents/guardians to learn more about safe driving habits. Parents, guardians, grandparents, teens are all welcome to attend.
